Residue Breakdown Program

Managing the residue from a high yielding crop is a crucial first step in maximizing yield potential for the following year.

Practices that promote the rapid breakdown of residues ensure that the nutrients contained in the residues are re-released into the soil in time for next year’s crop.

A great option for promoting faster breakdown of crop residues is by utilizing biological products in the fall directly after harvest. These can be in the form of live biologicals that are applied to the soil, and in the form of biological-stimulating products that provide energy sources for the native microbes to work more efficiently.

RemeD8^® AG-WSP PLUS

Microbial Soil Inoculant

The microorganisms contained in RemeD8 AG-WSP PLUS have been shown to increase nutrient availability, enhance nutrient cycling, as well as improve soil structure and support root development.

RemeD8 AG-WSP PLUS contains the addition of Trichoderma, which is shown to increase phosphate solubilization, improve break down of thatch/cellulose and more.

Rooted Elements™ Crop Charge

Crop Charge is a concentrated carbon and microbial energy source designed to stimulate soil biology and improve nutrient efficiency. It contains a blend of simple and complex sugars, 17 L-amino acids, and a biodegradable sequestering agent.

The simple sugars provide an immediate food source for beneficial microbes, while the complex sugars act as a moisture-retaining, slow-release carbon source that mimics root exudates. The biodegradable sequestering agent helps keep nutrients in solution and in the root zone, supporting steady nutrient release.
